A local family run business by Simon and Emma offering the warmest of welcomes to all visitors. The family pride themselves on the finest home baking and freshly made breakfasts, brunch, lunch and afternoon teas.
The Lighthouse was originally established by Simon’s mum Janet and stepdad Paul back in September 2007 and re-opened as ‘The Lighthouse’ (a themed tea room in Filey) in March 2008. Simon and Emma took over the reins in February 2017 and continue to uphold the character and legacy built up by Janet and Paul over the previous 10 years.

Breakfast & Light Bites : The Lighthouse Keeper’s breakfast is absolutely amazing, as well as the smoked salmon & scrambled eggs. Our favourite is eggs benedict and eggs royale. You will also find the variety of light bites are just the things for when hunger strikes.
Lunch menu : A great selection of sandwiches and baguettes are on the menu at The Lighthouse Tea Room who proudly sources the majority of their ingredients locally with bacon, cooked meats, crab, prawns and vegetables all sourced from local businesses in Filey. A Choice of any sandwich in white or seeded brown bread is served with a generous portion of crisps and homemade coleslaw.

The local lighthouse for Filey area is Flamborough Head. It stands at 86ft tall, the light has a range of 24 nautical miles and its signal pattern is four flashes every 15 seconds.
The lighthouse on the shop front is Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. It stands at 198ft tall. In 1999 it was moved 2900ft away from the edge of the sea and is well known for this feat of engineering and its distinctive spiral pattern.
