This entire situation in regards to the recent events surrounding the Corona Virus/Covid 19 is unprecedented to the whole world. It has affected every single person, business, sector and industry alongside all hospitality accommodations, restaurants and bars, it’s been said that this sector has been hit the hardest, some experts are saying it will take 10 years to recover. Substantial support is going to be needed. I speak on behalf of all the hospitality community who have been waiting patiently to get back to some kind of normality.
Filey was very quiet in Lockdown 2020. During our family walks, it felt like we were tourists in our own town. Sitting by the beach, listening to the sound of waves crashing on the shore in a gentle breeze. Watching the magical sunset over the golden sand of Filey’s smiley beach, was an extraordinary time. It’s been a strange year, but despite that we will always say that we are lucky to have all this on our doorstep.
